What our worship nights are like
A Kingdom Kickbacks worship night is a room full of young adults from across Charlotte singing together, usually for about an hour, with time to pray and to stay afterwards and actually talk to people. There is no membership, no sign-up sheet and no offering plate. People come from a dozen different churches and from no church at all. If you have never been to something like this, you can stand at the back and just listen, and nobody will single you out. Most people come alone the first time.
Christian community in Charlotte
Kingdom Kickbacks started in Charlotte in June 2024, out of a problem two people had after moving here: it is a city that fills up with young adults every year, and it is still genuinely hard to find people to spend an ordinary Tuesday with. We host three or four free events a month across the city, from South End and Camp North End to Optimist Hall and Warehouse242. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and we are not affiliated with any single church, which means anyone is welcome whether they have been going to church their whole life or have not been in years.
Coming along
Everything we host is open to anyone, and free unless a ticket is listed. You do not need to belong to a church, know anybody, or tell us you are coming. Most people turn up on their own the first time.
